@Octane: As I said, each yo their own. I could easily make case for either game, its that close but for me its the variety of settings, the packed market places with all the detail, the lighting and reflections on everything etc. The level of detail just blew me away - from the moment the game kicks off in the Pub with everything that's in it - the people, the bar, the fruit machine - it all looks so real, so detailed, etc, then you end up in a museum with all the artefacts and the detail on those, the people mulling around looking at those too. The market with all those people, the stalls, the hustle and bustle. Even when you get to horse riding sequence, it all looks stunning. I just found the Last of us seemed a little grey, a little dull and very empty in comparison - I know that it is in keeping with the 'atmosphere' of the game but as a result it felt less impressive to me. I didn't have any of those 'WOW' moments where I just had to stop and take it all in like I did with Uncharted 3 - even the architecture of the buildings were impressive. Its why I edge towards Uncharted 3 as the best looking game on Last gen but like I said, the Last of Us isn't a 'bad' looking game - its a close 2nd for me.

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

@BAMozzy: So i just finished uncharted 3 and i loved it i actually like it more than uncharted 2 i loved everything about it the level design was bigger and better the story was great i loved the part where you are young drake the only thing i didn't like was the shooting it felt so stiff but then i changed it to alternate and it was perfectly fine i don't get why people despise uncharted 3 so much

Isn't uncharted 3 one of those games that gives you a picture of a gun and the name and nothing more, and expects you to make an intelligent choice about which one to keep, which to use, which does more damage? I mean, I get it, 'murica, but assuming not every gamer is a firearms encyclopedia, shouldn't they give you more info?

Pardon in advance if I'm remembering the game wrong.

@SKC_Diamond: I never understood why people criticise it. I certainly loved the game and beat it (with all collectibles) before it was 'officially' released and therefore before they patched in the 'old' style mechanics. I loved its story, its settings and was certainly more blown away by the sheer beauty and technical quality of the visuals - more than U2. Maybe it because it wasn't the 'leap' that 2 had been over 1, maybe it was the 'boats' level (which can be quite tough/frustrating) which put people off a bit.

@Mega-Gazz: I don't think any Uncharted game has given you a weapons stats - just a name and picture - certainly not in the campaigns anyway. Mind you its usually the same for CoD 's (and similar) campaigns too. Weapons dropped often just have a name only - like AK47, red dot & grip for example. It certainly doesn't give you a stat breakdown - it doesn't tell you if its 'better' than the currently equipped weapon. In Uncharted, the 'power' weapons are in yellow compared to white for the 'normal' or general weapons. Knowing a weapons stats in r/l (assuming some are actually real) is pointless anyway as games often change the 'stats' and handling to make them more 'balanced' for gaming. They mat retain 'some' traits but they rarely perform just like their r/l version. In Battlefield all AR's (for example) have the same damage profile - maybe 1 or 2 will have a slightly different profile.

@SKC_Diamond: I am sure I remember a lot of people complaining about that section as well as the control settings so maybe that's why it isn't held in as high esteem as 2? Like I said, I actually prefer it to 2 because its more spectacular and I never had an issue with the control scheme. That 'boat' section was tricky and slowed my progress on the most difficult settings although I got through it quite quickly on the Nathan Drake collection 'crushing' difficulty (I haven't tried Brutal)

I thought 3 was great and much better than 2 imo. The shooting sections in 2 were great but 3 had so many great sections. The boat section was awesome!

So I've finally finished the trilogy.

Great set of games with some amazing set pieces.

Really glad I decided to give them a go. If you haven't played them you can pick this set up for £20 and you would be stupid not to.

Although you play as Nathan, i do feel that Sully is my favorite character in uncharted. Like in uncharted 2; i'm sweeting like a hooker in church Thats just golden.
