Topic: First PS+ Title You Paid For?

So I was wondering how many of us pass on a PS+ title then decide we want it and buy it? This could apply to PS3/PS4/PSP/Vita titles. It should not apply to titles available through PS+ you had already purchased. Ideally it should also only apply to titles offered when your sub is/was active.

Mine was the second month I joined... Tabletop Racing World Tour from May 2016 - I bought 4 months later in September

Well if it's a PS+ title why would I pay for it? And even so if you want to pay for it you can't unless you lapse your PS+. Then at that point it won't be a PS+ title at least for you.

One can argue if it's a PS Plus title, you're already 'paying' for it.

@Cycologist Ah, this is why you should always press the button on free PS Plus titles. You don't need to download them, but once you've pressed on them they're yours, at least until your subscription is up.

I've clicked on some right old rubbish, just in case I ever get the urge to play them.

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

@Tasuki @Turismo4GT i think the OP means are there any games that was on PS+ you missed and so you ended up buying it instead and which was the first one

"I pity you. You just don't get it at all...there's not a thing I don't cherish!"

"Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!

I claim every single title into my library, even if I never plan to play it. I didn’t always do that, however, and a few early offerings I wished I had claimed (like Hotline Miami and Rayman Origins), but I never actually bought a game later that I could have had for free.
There are a lot that I bought first yet hadn’t played yet when they became PS+ titles. Hitman this month is one of those. Zero Time Dilemma is another that I have a physical copy in my backlog yet to be played and it was also recently a Plus game a month or two ago.

Resogun. I missed it because I didn't have a PlayStation at the time.

I bought it because its Resogun.

I have quite a few games that I bought prior to me joining PS+ and after checking wiki, Tabletop Racing and Game of Thrones (don't remember that on PS+) are the only games I went back and purchased after the fact so it wasn't nearly as many as I initially thought. Ultimately I have redeemed 47 games and feel I would miss only about 10 if I didn't have Plus so I think if nothing else it's a good way to try games you wouldn't otherwise buy.

I keep detailed word/excel files on my PS purchases and despise filler info, so I would be annoyed if I just wholesale redeemed everything as I would then have to track it!!

Borderlands: the handsome collection Didn’t have space on my PS3 hard drive to download it and then bought it later on PS4.

Legend of Kay: anniversary didn’t switch my PS3 on the month that it was available. Ended up buying that one on PS4 as well

Nothing yet. I’ve bought some before Plus, but I claim PS Plus titles as a matter of principle, so unless I add it to the cart and forgot to “purchase” it (I’m still mad about missing Ratchet and Clank), I’ll never need to do it.

@RogerRoger @Frigate Yeah, I just recently noticed the ‘hidden’ items functionality and I think that’s a nice way to keep your library from looking like an indie trash bin. I immediately placed the random demos and such in there too.

@RogerRoger Lol, yeah, although that doesn’t sound a little harsh as I like a lot of indies out there quite a bit, but many of them are pretty pedestrian or just poorly optimized. And most of them just don’t interest me. You do find a diamond in the rough quite often though if you have the patience to shift through the detritus. For that reason I just keep them all, no matter how ho-hum they appear.
The real mess is my PS3 library. At this point, I’ve collected all the cast-offs that have been offered for the last couple years and I almost never even use my PS3 anymore. But maybe... just maybe, the PS5 will be able to play those PS3 games and up-res them or make it worthwhile to use them later. But they have been scraping the bottom of the barrel for PS3 games for quite a while (Metal Gear Solid 4 excluded).

@RogerRoger Yeah, you can kind of "delete" them, but they will always be there. So for example, my PS4 will always know I bought Hatoful Boyfriend.

EDT Just realised that reply doesn't make sense and contradicts itself massively. Thankfully others have answered better than me already.
