@Rukiafan7: wow congrats! I am at the festival event and loving what I have played of it thus far. It's quickly turned into a favorite series of mine.

Character development is slow, but steady. Don't worry though, by the end of the first game you'll love all of the characters from Class VII.

The second game ramps things up in a big way and is far more open-ended so if you like the first game by the end, you'll love the second!

Actually part two takes place during the winter of year 1 and sets the stage for part 3 which'll be released exclusively on PS4.

@KratosMD The quest system is much better in ToCS II. There's also apparently a secret unlockable in-game menu theme for earning the Platinum in each game though I haven't confirmed this for myself yet.

That Violinist makes that song! :3

Anyways, just a heads-up, but you'll need at least three playthroughs to Platinum the game.

The story gets extremely dark near the end, but don't worry it gets funny from time to time in the second game. This series is known to be great at switching up the mood of the story quite frequently. It's one of the few series that I've played that so successfully pulls this off without feeling awkward.

Finished the first game last night, it's easily my favourite JRPG and in my top five of all time, found the game to be amazing to be honest. The last chapter was so good I had to started the sequel just to find out some things, like Reanfan7 said, the story takes a dark twist that I didn't see coming at all, similarly the first Trails in the Sky came leaves on an unbelievable cliff hanger. Falcom are becoming a real favourite developer of mine after those two games

@KratosMD You've still got another dungeon to tackle. Sorry my browser jumped and I accidentally ignored your account, hopefully one of the admins will be able to fix that shortly.

Edit: The issue's been fixed! @Tasuki thanks!

@KratosMD I chose Emma, thought she was a good fit personally, both have mysterious backgrounds and Emma takes a special interest in Rean, particularly more towards the end, they seemed to get closer to each other as the story went on. BTW, not sure if this is spoilerish or not but what's the story with Rean and Elise? Is it spoilerish to discuss their relationship?

P.S. how did you guys put in those spoieler black out lines? Could do with learning those

@KratosMD Thanks for the help, what I wanted to ask was Does Elise fancy Rean or something? Lots of the characters seem to hint at this even though though their (adopted) brother and sister which seemed a bit weird to me, I really though that by the end of the game, Rean would reveal that he was in love with Elise which is why he was so oblivious to the attractions of the other girls and this would explain why Elise was always going red around Rean

@KratosMD Read at your own risk! Be prepared for all kinds of weirdness in part 2 then!

Again read at your own risk! Though to be fair it's totally one-sided and Rean is completely oblivious of his adopted sister's feelings towards him!

Ya the Crow twist really blind-sided me, DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!! Also the introduction of the Gundam mechanic was pretty cool too
Completely agree with how great the story is, easily one of the best stories I've viewed in a game, really felt like a great page turner novel in that I just couldn't wait to see what was next!
Have you played Trails in the Sky Kratos? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on that, you too Reanfan7, don't know anyone else who's played it thought that game was brilliant as well, had a great story and villains to it in particular

Also that music is pretty great in the game, particularly loved the battle music in the last dungeon and the festival music

Sounds like it stays in the same vein then, would have liked it to have been cleared up though @Reanfan7
