Topic: Fifa or Pro Evolution?

Have not played Fifa since the 90's on the SNES, and haven't really ever played Pro Evolution before. Which would be the most accessible for a newcomer to the sport, and which has the better game modes?

Will probably get last years version, or the year before since it will just be a game to play once in awhile. Would love to hear some feedback from someone that might know more about these games, thanks!

Since Fifa 08, Theres not been much of a contest between the two. The last ProEvo that I truley enjoyed was 5, some say 6 but 6 was didnt feel right to me n thats where ProEvo's downfall started. Ive tried a few since then but they've never been too good. FIFA has been getting consistantly better each year though (although I havent played much of fifa13 for ages) so its definately worth a punt, especially if your planning on getting a previous version as they tend to be really cheap (I think fifa12 goes for less than £5) Id say pick up a previous version of both if you can n see which one tickles ya fancy..

It is hard for me to say outright, that Fifa is better or PES is better. I play both now.
I was a diehard PES fan, they sucked for many years. I then begun to appreciate Fifa. Now I sit on the fence and look forward to playing both, every year I stick to playing the one I think is better. This year, I think PES is better.
It is the first PES in ages I have enjoyed.
