I'm not the only person here who finds these games amazing, huh? I picked up Continuum Shift a few weeks ago and I love it (not because of Beginner mode lol D:). Seriously fun to play and watch the battles unfold in a blaze of shiny anime energies, not to mention are the characters all amazing and absolutely hilarious. Also... Taokaka is the greatest cathuman thing ever to exist.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
I'm too spoiled by the Fighting Game G-d that is Guilty Gear XX Accent Core to be able to enjoy Blaz Blue. It's just too much of a step back, though I haven't tried Continuum Shift, yet. If I didn't know they were made by the same people, I would've passed it off as some cheap GGXX knock off that'll get lost in the crowd like the rest of them.
I love CS just because honestly I can put it on Beginner Mode and smash buttons and look really cool. D:

I love BlazBlue. I've started playing Calamity Trigger, and I love how relatively uncomplicated the whole thing is. I feared there would be a billion different attacks and combos and whatnot, but it's actually not that hard to keep track of, provided you stick to one character at a time. Haven't gotten pretty far though (stupid real life), but I've completed Ragna's arcade and story modes.
Also, I agree on Taokaka. Any catgirl with all of her feminine parts covered up and that doesn't gain popularity because of sex-appeal (like a certain Boobie Lady ), is simply so rare and special it's hard not to love her.
I have a Backloggery now! Nothin' fancy, but feel free to add me as a friend. [21:15] Axoloth joined the conversation [21:16] Axoloth: I love you, dead chat [21:17] dead chat runs away [21:17] dead chat has left the convers...
Hands down my favorite fighting game ever! The game is fantastic, and Jin is the man! The difficulty isnt too terribly hard to get into and the smaller move set fits my gaming style perfectly. Ive absolutely loved this game from the time Ive popped it into my PS3.
I recently bought the game and I have to say, Loving it so far. Only done Ragna through Arcade mode right now but when I get the time, I'll go into story mode.
I got Continuum Shift recently for the Xbox 360, and now that they have a patch out, the game is significantly more balanced than Calamity Trigger. I'm certainly liking it more now, and the new DLC characters are very awesome. I'm glad the Continuum Shift will be available as a patch (the System 1.01 I was referring to) and the set of DLC characters instead of releasing a whole new game. Hopefully they'll release a patch for the horrendously ugly menues by the time the third DLC character roles around.
Honestly, I just can't get into it. I bought all three Blazblue games (and the horrendous Blayzblue: Super Melee Brawlers Battle Royale) but I always end up dropping the games with only fifteen to twenty hours of playtime.
Ah well, once a Street Fighter fan, always a Street Fighter fan.
Bacon, RPG elements and cute girls, what more could you want?

Funny, I'm a Street Fighter Fan, too, but that wasn't the reason I couldn't get into it. It had numerous other problems to complain about than just "it doesn't play like Street Fighter".
Been playing BBP a lot, and I gotta say, I love the story. I mean, usually the story outright sucks in most fighting games. Hell, FF is probably the only other one I could think of where the story was even "decent", and even then that was a stretch. But BlazBlue actually has a respectable, coherent, complelling storyline. And It's a fighting game. That alone is an achievement.
