So I very recently got my first Playstation 3 and I hadn't really been thinking of signing up for Playstation Plus until I saw that Newegg had a deal for it. Now my question is if it would be worth a one year subscription even though the only Sony system I own is a PS3. I know you get two free games every month, but are there any other benefits that would be worth considering?
the other benefit worth considering is discounts on digital games... when they hold sales on the PS store they often offer additional discounts for PS + subscribers. Say the sale is 50% of the regular price of the game but PS+ subscribers get 60% off instead
Not only that but you can still add the free Vita games and PS4 games so if you ever get those systems in the future you will have a nice library for them.

I know I was unable to add PS4 titles to my claim list before I bought my PS4, even via the pc browser, so I would be careful about telling people they could do that. The Vita ones can be claimed on the PS3 though.

You must have done something wrong cause I was able to claim them through the PS App on my phone. So have a few of my friends.

Indeed, you can buy PS3/PS4/PSV games through your PC browser no problem. So if you get PS+, you can build up your library for when you get a PS4, if you get one, as Tasuki said.
I recently bought a PS4 on 2nd of January, and I had about 30 games ready to go because of a couple of years PS+ subscriptions.
@Jenraux: If you have a smarthphone, or tablet you can also get the PS App and get the games that way too. I was in the same boat as you this past Christmas, I got my son a PS3 for Christmas and because I locked in a few of the PS+ games for PS3 he had a good size library for it.

I did not realise you could add vta games to your library if you did not have a Vita. I know some seem to download to my PS3 automatically but not all of them. I have not got the PS App is it worth downloading?
