I’m quite keen on playing it but unfortunately as it is “free” day one on a subscription service it breaks my no purchase rule. 😂
It might sound stupid but with such games I wait for them to appear on a subscription service near me or in a heavily discounted sale.

Right, who is ready to return to Banoi (Dead island) ?

@CaptD that’s the original Dead Island I take it? Yeah count me in, was it four people we need for the multiplayer trophies?

Yeah Dead island 1 and Riptide. Riptide needs all main quests to be done in MP, I need help with that one.
Dead island 1 just needs a few missions in coop plus joining a four player game with all different characters. There is an annoying trophy where you have to kill a big thug by ramming him which is a Sam B skill and the first big thug is at the end of the first chapter which is some ways in, this is quite tricky and best done in coop so people can revive you as you will die trying it....so basically I’m suggesting perhaps picking Sam B as your character. You do have to play that first chapter with all four characters but you can speed run the other characters and you would have a worse time doing it that way.

@PeaceSalad no worries mate, the Dead Island 2 requirements don’t take too long. Though I would get a wriggle on if you can as SSD space is a premium 😉

Great stuff, there is also an annoying trophy for Dead Island where you have to play with 10 different people for 15 minutes or more. Thankfully the game still seems reasonably popular so it shouldn’t be an issue, it might be a good idea to write down the usernames of the people you play with.
We do need to decide who to play as, I think my main (high level) character was the blade woman as I do like to slice n dice. Do note that you will have to take the character to lvl50 (1.5 play throughs although I did the included dlc which helped) so do pick a character you like and if we have the same characters then that isn’t a problem.

As for DI2 unfortunately I have deleted it because I needed the SSD space (it mid 60gb) but I can stream the game so helping “shouldn’t” be an issue.

@CaptD what a terrible trophy, cheers for the heads-up though as that sounds like a good idea. ****ing multiplayer trophies! 🤬

@PeaceSalad I think knobbly is still in the process of playing the second one, so it might be worth reaching out to him while he’s still active on it.

The one trophy which needs arranging is Ménage a trios which needs 4 player even though I was under the impression this was a play on the three person “game”.
Anyway it needs four players for FIVE quests, there is also Together in the light which needs FIVE quests with the same 1 or more coop partners. So basically do both at the same time.
The last trophy (except for the aforementioned all four different characters one) is Going Steady which is 25 quests in coop.

Both Dead Island and Riptide have annoying MP trophies.

@CaptD is there potential to place this on hold for at least a month, I do like to give similar games a bit of breathing room if possible?

I’m in no rush to play Dead island, it is only Riptide that is in my backlog.
Just making folks aware as it is a bit of a nightmare to arrange a suitable time.

Looking to start Lords of the Fallen 2023 in September(-ish). Just doing a bit of ‘due-diligence‘ and noticed that there are a fair few online trophies as well as an mp duplication glitch that can help out quite a bit.

If anyone else is looking to do the same in the next couple of months, let me know and we can help each other out.

One from left field here but just started Ace Combat 7 (and it seems pretty decent)… and there are a fair few mp trophies. One of which requires participation in 50 Team Death Matches. Trouble is the servers are pretty dead. If anyone is interested in the game and fancies boosting the mp matches, let me know.

Well done, I hope it didn’t take you till 1:30am to earn them all.
A very annoying set of trophies, probably up there with some of the worst grinds MP trophies. Totally unnecessary to have such a high number of matches.

Gears of War: Reloaded - theres a fair bit of grinding/boosting required for the various multiplayer trophies, that either requires 4 people with two controllers each (via split screen) or 8 people. We already have a few people interested to start in the New Year (though still need at least one more person, preferably more), if anyone else is interested let me know.
