As you may have seen, Capcom announced a brand new game in its longstanding Mega Man series during The Game Awards 2025.

Not due until 2027, Mega Man: Dual Override is still a ways off, but fans are already getting involved with a fun design competition.

Capcom has called for people to take part in a design contest, with the winner being featured in the final game.

"The Robot Master Design Contest for Mega Man: Dual Override is now open," reads the official website. "We're looking for designs of a Robot Master who has a right arm with immense suction powers! Will your design be the one to face Mega Man in the game!? Draw, Mega Man fans, for everlasting peace!"

The publisher has provided a base design it has in mind for this boss character in Dual Override, and its main gimmick is a vacuum cleaner-like suction arm.

Your job, between now and 1st January 2026 (11:59pm PST), is to draw and submit your own take on this character. Entries are being accepted via X (Twitter).

After Capcom assesses all entries, a list of 20 designs will be carried forward to the next round. Through public voting, this will be whittled down to a final six, from which the winner will be chosen by Capcom.

As mentioned, the winning design will be the one used in the game itself.

Importantly, Capcom stipulates that any submissions found to be infringing on copyright, plagiarising the work of others, or utilising generative AI will be disqualified.

It's a pretty cool opportunity to put your stamp on the upcoming game. If you fancy having a go, you have between now and New Year's Day to send Capcom your attempt.
