I figured since NintendoLife has a central thread for this, it would be a good idea here too. It would also let someone give an idea if they don't want to make a thread about it. So shoot.

I came up with this on the spot but I'm thinking that maybe there'd be a way to display what games we're currently playing on our profiles. I'd imagine it would be the same as the Popular Games blurb on the side of the homepage, like for example if I'm playing Evil Within, then on a part of my profile page it would show the game's boxart.

Yeah, this is something that @antdickens regularly talks about. It's definitely in the pipeline, but it's quite a challenging thing to implement, so it's not necessarily at the top of the priorities list. Great idea, though.

Until this is implemented you can always use your signature to list the games you are currently playing.

This is a great idea for a thread @get2sammyb any way we can get this thread stickied?

It'd be awesome if you could somehow have it link to your Backloggery account, so that you don't need to update two sites and it just pulls through whatever's in your now playing games on there! Wishful thinking though haha.

This is a good idea for a thread I reckon, and I actually had an idea of my own the other day. I played through Puppeteer last week, and I thought it was such a wonderful little game but one that made very little noise when it came out. I figured it could be cool to do a weekly article on "hidden gems"; titles that were really great but just ended up flying totally under the radar on release for one reason or another. The only problem I had was coming up with more that people wouldn't already know - here you're pitching at gamers, to whom lots of those hidden gems probably weren't so hidden! Hey ho, you could turn it into a challenge - if one of you guys can come out with a game that the majority of us haven't played, you get something super special........a week's supply of custard creams! (Because everyone loves custard creams)

From 16/08/15 I’m going for sober for six months to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice. Donations can be made here and anything you can offer is greatly appreciated: https://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-Butler5

A weekly hidden gems article would be great, i feel like the psp and ps3 particularly probably have a ridiculous number of games that would fit this category...

Oh man PSP for sure has some great games that never made it big. One of my personal faves was Jeanne d'Arc, a great TRPG made by Level 5 which for some reason never even got a PAL release! I believe it's in the NA store, so I may have to set up an NA account at some point to download it (I assume this can be done on Vita like on PS3).

While it wouldn't necessarily be a hidden gems article, how would you guys feel at some older titles available on the PSN being covered?

I think as long as it's stuff that's a little "off the beaten track" so to speak, that would pretty much fit the bill. Keeping to PSN is probably a good idea, as it keeps it that bit more relevant, and there's still a huge selection of great but obscure PS2, PS3 and PSP games on there! (And speaking of obscurities, it's a crying shame the original Obscure never made it to PSN!)

@antdickens: Ah ok thanks for pointing that out. I haven't really needed to edit any forum posts so that's why I missed it. Thanks alot for pointing it out Still getting use to all the updates which are great.

I will probably figure them all out just in time for the next update and everything gets changed again .

Not only PSN but maybe a retro section where some of you guys review or cover PS games from like the PS and PS2 era.

I second this idea. I think it would be great if Pushsquare covers retro games. And on the subject of PSN games, sister site Nintendo Life has reviewed every digital title on Nintendo platforms. I think it would be cool if
PS could try moving towards this with future titles, while building up reviews of older titles.

So people would want us to be a bit more like NIntendo Life and be a one-stop shop for new and old?

Yeah covering retro titles would be great. There are a number of ps1 and psp titles on the store that i'd be interested in playing, and by all accounts were good games at the time of their release, but it would be great to know how they hold up today. Even if reviewing games isnt a possibility some sort of feature listing 'top 10 ps1/psp titles on the store' would be really good i think.

Please keep it fresh, Push Square. Everything is being rehashed these days and there are remastered versions of games everywhere. The thing I like about Push Square is that it's fresh and has a distinctive own voice. I'd hate it were a retro section to happen.

I guess I'd like to read more discussion articles and such. Readers on this site are really well informed, just as the writers, so 'opinion articles' are usually my favourites!
