Topic: Why does my PlayStation keep shutting down randomly on its own?

Recently my PlayStation has just been randomly shutting down, I’ve changed the fuse in the plug to the PS, there’s no dust in the vents and there is no damage to any of the wires. Does anyone have any information that could help with this problem?

lmao, nice name beatingsausages, did you beat your playstation too hard? that could be a potential issue; other than that, you could try rebooting in safe mode and rebuilding the database or reinstalling the software. worst case scenario i can think of is an overheating issue because of the thermal paste or system fan failing forcing the ps5 to auto-shutdown.

@BeatenSausages How old is the console? It does worryingly sound like it’s either an overheating or hardware issue; the first PS5 I finally managed to get had a similar problem 24 hours after getting it and I had to send it back to Sony.

I’ve come to find out that it’s not the PlayStation, it’s FC26, i can watch tv or play any other game for hours but it’s only happening whilst I play fc26

@graymamba brought it on the ps store but I’ve emailed them saying that if it doesn’t get sorted I’ll want a refund, just got to wait 2 days for them to respond

So my PS5 has started to turn off when playing now, might just be BF6 as playing that alot (stupid revive trophy on Redsec), have re built the database, cleared cache, updated lic's etc and still doing it.

Waiting for a cleaning kit to arrive as that is the last resort I guess otherwise I need to get a new one (PS5 Slim digital I think)
