my little man has recently been disconnected (or disconnected himself) from PSN, and forgot his password. After several failed attempts, we decided it would be easier to just create a new account for him, and so we did. And this is where it got weird: as the original account had been created with his mother's e-mail address, we could not use it with the new account, so we used his own e-mail, and he was identified as a minor (he's in middle school). As a result, a verification from one of the parents was required, so we entered the mother's credentials (my own account was linked to another Sony service and was unavailable). It all worked well until he logged into the new account only to see the old one was still up and running, and all of the games installed were apparently available to play on both accounts. However, any games could only be launched from the original account, while all of the saves seemed to have migrated to the new account and any game we tried to launch from it has resulted in a log-out with an error code NP-32038-6.
We took the console to the shop but the tech guy was stumped. Any ideas? :-/
@Wickedweasel I don't think it's a tech problem as more of an account problem so taking it to a shop won't help really. Have you tried contacting Sony to straighten out the account?
