I recently bought an external HDD (2 TB, USB 3.0) for my PS4. I have download a few games onto it and when I have been playing the games on it it randomly disconnects from the PS4 causing an error to appear on screen saying not to unsafely disconnect the HDD and then I have to go into repair mode on the HDD to retrieve the data again.
This takes ages. This has happened a few times. I always make sure when I start playing the PS4 that the HDD is plugged in correctly.
My PS4 is set to not go into rest mode so that cant be the issue. Also, loading data from the external HDD is EXTREMELY slow. It takes a few minutes to load a level of MW2 Campaign Remastered from it.
