Probably a dumb question, but if I had an Original PS4, with whatever version of the software it has, would I be able to simply remove the hard drive from the Original PS4 and insert it into a PS4 slim? It's my understanding the Slim version has some different features (the ability to use 5ghz WiFi bands for example, a feature that doesn't exist on the original), so I'm ultimately just wondering if the system software will just automatically detect the hardware and allow me to access any of the features available to people using a PS4 slim. Or will i have to wipe the hard drive entirely and reinstall the system software?
@Ellerson85 A PS4 hard drive is tied to the system it is currently in. If you install it into any other PS4 it will be formatted and you will need to install everything from scratch.
