@JohnnyShoulder For what it’s worth, my current plan is to use my PS5 as a 4K disc player for movies (presuming it does a half decent job at it). I’m not planning to spend the extra money on a separate 4K player right now. But my DVD and BD movies will be played in my dedicated respective players the vast majority of the time, since I have those so I might as well use them for what they’re designed to do. But if someone doesn’t have the money or space for a DVD player and would rather play them on their PS4 (or PS5), more power to them. I’d never presume to suggest how someone else uses their stuff, and apologize if it came across that way. I just know what makes sense for me personally.

@Th3solution Admittedly since I've bought my 4K TV I rarely use my ps4 for watching any media lol. I've also got a dedicated 4K player, but it is only a basic one and I'm waiting to see how that compares to the PS5 drive before deciding which console to get. Then I'm gonna pour jam into it.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

@JohnnyShoulder Lol, sounds good. I use my $600 phone for a coaster. It’s also good for pounding in nails when I can’t find my hammer.
