Dying Light: The Beast (PS5)
$39.59/£38.27 (-34%)
Dying Light: The Beast is far from the most original game out there. Hell, it’s not even the most original Dying Light. But we’d be lying if we said we didn’t come away entertained. It embraces its silliness in the best ways across its ridiculous story, gorily violent combat, and fun to explore setting. Some level-gating issues in co-op and duller flatter terrain hold it back in spots, but to us this is the best Dying Light yet.
Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist (PS5)
$13.74/£10.99 (-45%)
Gratifying combat, enjoyable platforming, and an impressive list of abilities help Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist comfortably overcome any minor missteps. Aided further through vibrant graphics and flawless technical performance, Adglobe and Live Wire have once again come together to showcase Metroidvanias at their best.
Gotham Knights (PS5)
$6.99/£6.49 (-90%)
A spin-off of the Batman: Arkham series, Gotham Knights does its best to transition the world of the Caped Crusader to a Destiny-style co-op experience. The results are a little mixed, and subsequently it fails to match up to the high points of Rocksteady’s iconic series. However, there’s a nice story and enjoyable combat system on offer, which at least offers some short-lived entertainment.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions (PS5)
$4.49/£3.74 (-85%)
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a surprisingly fun experience, with a variety of modes to sink your teeth into. There are some nice references to the books and films for diehard Potter fans, in addition to smooth flying controls that ultimately make the game fun to play. There are a few issues, noticeably regarding balance and the longevity of its single player content, but if you like the idea of playing a competitive sporting game in the Wizarding World, then it’s definitely worth checking out.
Hell Is Us (PS5)
$19.79/£16.49 (-67%)
With an incredibly dense lore and labyrinthine level design, Hell Is Us is a captivating experience. The game takes its solid (but tough) combat and chin-scratching puzzles and elevates them with a century spanning mystery that goes deeper and deeper. Its hands off approach means there is a huge emphasis on the world, and thankfully Rogue Factor does not disappoint. It’s not going to be for everyone, but for those that love a good lore-filled mystery, this is a PS5 must-play.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance (PS4)
$5.99/£4.99 (-80%)
If you're tired of fantastical RPGs, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is well worth checking out. This historically accurate adventure leans quite heavily into being a medieval simulator, forcing you to learn the ins and outs of methodical action combat, as well as the struggles of daily life. You play as an unlikely hero (or antihero, depending on your choices) — a peasant who ends up becoming a knight in service to the realm. Kingdom Come can be awkward in its design and its slow pace won't be for everyone, but with a bit of patience, it can be an engrossing adventure.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (PS5)
$11.99/£9.99 (-80%)
The force is strong with this one. While there have been several instalments in the past, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the culmination of TT Games' previous efforts. Encompassing all nine mainline movies, this is a huge platformer adventure featuring all the most iconic sequences you remember from the big screen. When you're not progressing the story, it turns into a sandbox, letting you explore myriad locations from the films and play as one of hundreds of characters. Its gameplay is also more modern than the older LEGO Star Wars titles, sharpening up shooting and making combat more exciting. There's so much to see and do here that Star Wars fans need not play anything else for a while.
Lies of P (PS5)
$29.99/£24.99 (-50%)
Lies of P is one of the best Souls games not made by FromSoftware. Distinct in direction, tone, and style having leant into an evil take on the classic Pinocchio story, the journey through Krat is a memorable one thanks to solid combat, impressive customisation options, and unique art. If you've completed every FromSoftware experience multiple times over and you're looking for the next Souls-like hit, Lies of P is up there with the very best.
Live A Live (PS5)
$19.99/£15.99 (-60%)
Live A Live is an incredibly interesting and unique JRPG experience. With lovely HD-2D graphics and numerous main characters, it’s hard not to compare it to the likes of Octopath Traveler, but it really is a completely different kettle of fish. Live A Live is a varied thrill ride that still impresses all these years later, and while the combat does struggle to live up to the rest of the adventure, the game does a fantastic job of tying all of its intriguing, individual stories together. It's a history-hopping journey we'll be thinking about for quite some time.

Remember, you may also arbitrarily (And maybe illegally) get additional discounts depending on whether or not they like you today and if the wind blows north east on the second Tuesday in July in 1954.
I wonder if they will gradually gate off more perks, sales, exclusive content behind PS Plus. Would fit right in with the current direction of travel. £89.99, or just £59.99 with your (increasing) forever subscription.
Darwin's Paradox already £7.99 and Hell is Us £16.49. I think I might get those two
@Sonic_Phantom To be fair to them, a perk of PS Plus has always been additional discounts. That's been true since its inception over a decade ago.
@Toilet_Goat Same here, been waiting for a decent discount on Hell is Us for awhile
They can stuff their sale. I have all the first page on disc. Not reading the rest.
@get2sammyb true, suppose I just felt like getting a 'where does it end' off my chest with all the recent developments!
Early access to be able to give PSN more money... on digital licences... that won't sell out... what a benefit...
Sony must think we're stupid. Maybe we are.
Maybe in the all-digital future you'll have to be subscribed to PS+ to buy anything at all. Could be 'justified' on the basis that maintaining those servers costs something, so you should have to pay to be able to access the shop. And the defenders will point out that there were costs associated with travelling to physical shops to buy discs, e.g. petrol/bus fare/bicycle tyre rubber/shoe leather/shipping/Amazon Prime, so why shouldn't Sony be able to charge people just to be able to buy.
I already own (bought these, some of them at least, month to years ago)some of these games, for anyone who hasn't I recommend taking advantage of these prices still (yes, I'm ps plus member) I get that the early discounts are for people like me etc. yes I'm aware of Sony's pr with us as well (currently, so I do not blame consumers for being frustrated and skeptical with Sony for the medium term).
Hell yeah. Early access to the same games that go on sale every other month. Winning.
All the ones crying about no discs are running to the ps store now with their cancelled ps plus that still has a few months left lol
sale prices seem to be going up not down
way out is not that cheap its been on sale for £5 before this
mass effect has been on sale for £5 before this
ITT - people who've never worked retail nor understand how sales work.
@trev666 Meanwhile Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is at its lowest price ever at 60% off.
It’s always the same games and always the same discount.. Nothing new to see
Oh thank you lord Sony...you are so generous to us gamers
These games were all cheaper in the steam summer sale last week.
No more business from me Sony. And I say that as an all digital buyer. Stuff your sale. Heading to GOG 😀
@chatbot You remind me of the sort of insufferable people that retail workers have to deal with regularly.
"Such a thing is cheaper elsewhere!". Cool story, go buy it there then and save us all a headache.
@MrPeanutbutterz Also itt, somebody who clearly understands the world better than us mere mortals 😉
