Some really good games but nothing I would personally get excited for. If you like Dragon Quest it's a good month though!

Another excellent month for Extra.

Not so much for Premium though.

The games, encompassing Dragon Quest games and Yakuza games, are phenomenal. Unfortunately I have played the ones I want to. But that’s not Sony’s fault.

I’m a bit confused with this, are the assassins creed games not even available to download, or do they just not run great? I’ve always wanted to try the chronicles games so I don’t understand why they wouldn’t play properly? They’re hardly pushing the system to its limits

Where’s Dino Crisis that leaked awhile back to be coming? Or for that matter all the PS1 games that were available on PS3? Sony if you want to sell premium subs for the holiday season your effort’s need to skyrocket for PS1 and PS2 offerings compared to slow drip feed offerings we’ve been given since the relaunch!!!

It's okish for me. Sure there are some great games but either I played them or can't play them. Only one I might try is dq heroes but normally not a musou fan

It's truly a sorry state of affairs when Nintendo of all companies seem to offer a better "top tier" service than Sony. The Switch Online Expansion was rightfully ridiculed, but at least it was a one off small yearly payment, so the drip feeding of classic games softens the sting.
Sony should bite the bullet, stop charging monthly for Premium (and I can't believe I'm saying this about an online service) and copy Nintendo by making Premium a one off £30ish payment. Then the poor showing of games has a lesser effect as the wallet doesn't take as much of a hit.
Or you know, they could do what they advertised they were going to do and release lots of classic games. One or the other

Premium has become what I expected. Something sony used for a brief hype only to completley neglect it worse than nintendo does their old games.

I might resub to Extra for The Medium as i really want to check that out, i would have finished Scorn by Halloween so might make that my Halloween game.

@pip_muzz Honestly the Online Expansion has been pretty worthwhile for me, many of those N64 games i've never played before and the MK DLC being included is a nice touch as well. I'm due to renew next month and considering what's coming i'm very much subbing again.

@Boucho11 Assassin's Creed China you can't even download. Syndicate you can download, but there'll be issues. I don't own the others to check if you can download them.

I am realy dissapointed about premium tbh.
I subscribed to this, because of the expectation we get alot of demo's, ps2 psx, psp games.
3 month's further, no mgs game, no remotely great jrpg, nothing!!!! Not even wipeout psx

Can you buy the available ps1 games or are they only playable with a subscription?

@JON22 Most of them yes. The only one I cannot buy is Tekken 2. Most of them were free for me since I had the PS3/PSP/Vita version which it was cool. Even though I have bought Tekken 2 it still is not available to buy.

As for the topic I only have essentials or whatever the basic one is called for cloud saves and the occasional online game. I don't have time to play those days but if I had the extra tear has some good content.

I can’t wait to play GTA whatever definitive edition and say every two minutes “Definitive”. LOL.

Still nothing at this point to entice me to move away from regular plus. I was looking at the extra tier just yesterday and it's all games I've already played or don't really have any interest on. Good month for regular plus though, Injustice 2 and Hot Wheels are both fun games.

I’m very happy with the overall package I’m getting for just € 100 (or two games) a year. I don’t really care if the games are on Extra or Premium.

My OCD would be thankful if the first AC would be added though. Now there’s a huge playthrough to delve into without a real beginning.

I'm very pleased with NFS Heat and Hot Wheels Unleashed on Essential. On Extra I genuinely don't know where to start, games everywhere. Still need to finish Stray and I'm pleased Medium is coming to Extra. Premium ain't great but it's nice to have Ape Escape with trophies. Overall very pleased and satisfied at the mo

I have the basic PS Plus tier its still confusing. I have so many games to play i dont need a extra big backlog with all these games.

I have just noticed that the original Dragon Quest XI is not sold anymore on the PS Store, meaning the graphically downgraded DQXIS is the only version you can buy.
I guess it's a graphics vs features debate, but still, the original was so magical in its visuals, it's a shame many gamers will never experience it.

Lets play more PS4 games on my PS5 and Gamepass gets Plague Tale Requiem day one , and Gamepass is cheaper.

I'm just going to let my subscription expire & get ps plus essential if it goes on sale this year for the odd multiplayer match

I'm very happy. AC Syndicate, India and Russia, 3 games I was ready to buy. But Dragon Age XI S is awesome, I want it badly!

Was really excited for the Medium, then I realised it was PS5 only. Does anybody know if PS5 games can be streamed through PS plus on PC?

I dislike all these subscription services. Paying for multiplayer server access with a random sprinkling of games was fine. Just buy the games you actually want, it will be cheaper in the long run.

Remember, sony and microsoft wouldnt push subscriptions unless they made more money from customers through them.

So go out there, be a dinosaur, buy a physical copy. You will actually own it, and can play it as often as you like. Maybe only buy the few games you actually want. Who knows, the market might not be flooded with thousands of games if that happened.

No clue if I should restart my DQ11 game on the new version “S” or just continue it on the older version that I’m probably at least halfway through. I have no clue how big the differences are or if it’s even worth swapping over

Yeah none of these are good and especially Medium. That's probably the worst out of all of them

@Bentleyma Oh, I know it's not night and day. But I admit I'm a visuals snob : I will always choose the mode with 30fps and best visuals when playing a game, so any downgrade is a no no, my eyes will probably notice it.
But I guess most people will prefer the quality of life improvements and the new content in DQXIS.

@Barrymore yeh buy discs like babylons fall then 12 months later you have a lovely expensive coaster to show anyone who visits lol jokes aside some ppl prefer subs , I play the game complete it then most prob won't touch it again till dlc if I like it , works out better for me , I don't get why ppl tell other ppl not to use subs and buy ,just because you or other ppl buy discs that's your choice and others have thier choice too , and working out cheaper in the long run ? No I could pay for one game (£50 example )and never touch it again ( biomutant day one say ) I competed it never touched it since and there has been no dlc

@dBackLash If you have a friend with a PS5 you can play it via the screenshare mode where they give you control, so you’re technically playing it on the PS4 then.

@CWill97 if you are halfway through you might want to just continue. But it depends on how you feel about the game.

The S version of Dragon Quest XII adds some quality of life changes like 3x speed in battles and things. It also adds mounts that can be used to traverse the world quicker. And there is an expanded story and a full 2D version of the game alongside it.

The only downside is that the graphics take a bit of hit. Square Enix were lazy and kept the version the Switch was made on and just upped the resolution for PS4 and Xbox. The graphics are still fine, but a slight downgrade from the original PS4 release.

It’s a bit of a Square Enix thing. They could have given PS4 owners the ‘S’ version as an upgrade rather than a full new game and kept the graphical quality. Instead they screwed the original funders of the game and made them wait for the S version a year after it had released on Switch. .

They did the same thing with FF7:R for PS4 users, screwing them over so they had to buy a PS5 to play the Yuffi DLC that was included on PC/PS5 for new players but not those who originally funded the game on PS4.

All I’m learning the past 4 months is getting PS Premium was a mistake.

Was expecting a lot more support for PS1, PS2, PSP.

@Boucho11 I believe that it was quoted in these pages that Assassins Creed India, Russia and Syndicate won't run on the PS5, just the PS4.

Probably a hack to get round some OS calls and up the performance on the PS4 that the PS5 can't translate?

@Riefeio depends on buget , what resolution ,can spend as much or as little as you want .I wouldnt go for a GPU lower than a rtx 3060ti or CPU i5 11 gen . for 4K prob need 3070/3080 min .
