Many Are Blaming Sony's 3.0 Firmware Update For Drive Errors, Although They Deny Responsibility.

0, some vocal Playstation 3 users have been reporting problems with games. At first, that was limited to Uncharted: Drakes Fortune — a problem that was fixed with Firmware 3.01; but problems weren't addressed for most. Users are still complaining of read errors when playing blu-ray discs or just bog-standard DVDs.

Extending their arm for more information, Eurogamer asked Sony exactly what the hell is going on, to which they issued a response stating the problems are "not an issue with the firmware". Unfortunately, that puts the problem squarely on the shoulders of the consumers, leaving those without warranty with the possible expenditure of a repair.

Still, we haven't had one single problem with our PS3, ever. Have you had a problem, valued reader?
