Stardew Valley PS4 PlayStation

Farmers eager for a reason to return to Stardew Valley will be glad to know creator Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone has confirmed a "ton of progress" has been made on the lifestyle sim's eagerly-anticipated 1.6 update. Taking to Twitter, Barone posted a progress update describing his self-imposed "extreme crunch mode" and a picture of a Big Chest, one of the update's many exciting additions.

In the comments, Barone was queried on why he works so hard on the game, even ceasing work on his next project, Haunted Chocolatier, to do so, to which he replied: "So many people are still playing it, and many new people every day, I want it to be the best it can be. It will never be perfect, but I feel an urge to keep improving it. Up to this point, it's been my life's work, and I care a lot about it."

What do you think of Barone's work ethic? Are you glad to see such Stardew commitment? Or do you wish he would switch his attention back to Haunted Chocolatier? Spend some of your limited time and focus in the comments section below.
