As expected, Gran Turismo 7’s next major update – scheduled to release on 7th August, 2023 – will add promotional content from the upcoming movie in the form of a free Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 ’18. Those who login after installing the patch will be able to add the car to their in-game garage for free, until 28th September. “Additionally, a new livery has been added recreating the GT-R as seen within the movie,” product manager Ken Chan teased. “This livery can be selected when purchasing the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 ’18 from Brand Central.”

This is all in addition to a couple of other in-game campaigns pertaining to the World Series Showdown, which is taking place in Amsterdam on 11th August and 12th August. You’ll be able to win Credits for correctly predicting the winners in a couple of categories, and you can unlock the Toyota Ambulance Himedic ’21 for free just by watching the livestream.

As previously reported, a trio of other cars will be added as part of the newest update: the Chevrolet Corvette (C1) ’58, the Maserati MC20 ’20, and the Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Edition ’22. You can try out the latter as part of the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup 2023, and if you participate in the event you’ll unlock it for free.

This is all in addition to a Japanese fire station Scape and three new GT Café Menus to complete. So, as is always the case for Gran Turismo 7, there’s a lot of new content to look forward to.
