The curtain hasn’t completely closed on not-E3 2023 yet, but we’ve basically reached the encore and we’re not convinced the crowd is yearning for more. Nevertheless, in an unsurprising twist, organiser Geoff Keighley has confirmed that Summer Game Fest will return in 2024, with a live showcase and more.

Obviously, the event entails more than just a live show, as there’s a media-only hands-on portion which is where a lot of our previews have been coming from. If you’ve missed those, then you can read some of our impressions on Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Sonic Superstars, and Foamstars through the links. That aspect will also return.

Keighley added that this year’s Summer Game Fest represented a “record-setting” year, and that we should stay tuned for “more details” on 2024’s incarnation in the coming months. We don’t know about you, but we’d rather not think that far into the future right now. Either way, you’ll find all of the usual news and announcements right here on Push Square when the event does eventually arrive.
