Throwback platformer A Hat in Time is getting a PlayStation 5 patch, which will see its framerate bumped to 60 frames-per-second on Sony’s next-gen console. This is all part of a big update on 31st March, which will finally see its add-on packs – Seal the Deal and Nyakuza Metro – released for the PlayStation 4 version.
Gears for Breakfast, the game’s developer, had previously noted that it was having problems getting the expansion packs to function on the PlayStation console, but last year it published a video of the DLC running, and promised that its efforts were ongoing. It seems that its work has finally concluded – what year is it, and all that?

Seems weird to focus on the frames per second boost in the headline instead of the bigger news about the expansions finally releasing on PlayStation consoles.
Anyway, Seal the Deal was so-so, but Nyakuza Metro is really good.
About f******g time.
Sweet. I bought this in a psn sale years ago but never got around to playing it. A video i watched online this week reminded me of its existence, so sounds like it is time to dust it off once this drops
I just 100%-ed this game a couple weeks ago. It's an absolute blast.
That cool and all, but this game just didn't do it for me. Although I'm not sure if that has more to do with the game itself or the devs lying about a switch port to drive up sales.
@Rob_230 You are in for a treat.
Played this on Switch, loved it, so it's nice to have another way to waste 10-20 hours of my life.
Smug Dancin’ at 60 FPS 😎 🙌
It's nice to finally see this game hit 60fps. I played it on PC but I also want a console version. Sadly I hear the PS4 version is pretty choppy. Sounds like the PS5 version will be the way to go.
Now if I can just find this mythical PS5 people speak of. I've seen video evidence but I'm skeptical that such a thing exists.
I couldn't get into this game but so wanted to. Thought it was a flop, hard to believe they are still developing for it.
@crimsontadpoles that’s brilliant news! Been waiting for those thought it would never happen
@tselliot one of the best 3D platformers in years, what are you talking about?
Nice, I have this on pc but I think I'll buy this again on psn when it's discounted 😃
I'd love to see a native PS5 version so I'd have an excuse to play it all over again.
For some inexplicable reason I was convinced this game was only on Switch
I love 3D platformers (come from the N64/PS1 and PS2/GC era) but sadly for me this game just didn't click. Something about the floaty movement felt wrong to me.
I'll use this news of the 60fps patch and DLC as a reason to try again and hope I suddenly get hooked.
Why was this not 60fps already? It always amazes me that Nintendo keeps making 60fps Mario games on less powerful hardware yet these are usually 30fps on the likes of PS4. Thankfully these should now be a thing of the past
Finally, I absolutelly love this game, never played the expansions because they just werent avaliable in ps4, and now to get it at a delicious 60fps on ps5 <3 I'll be playing it all over again <3
I platinum'd the base game on PS4 years ago and transitioned to PC for the mods and DLC and I never really looked back in all honesty. But great for console only peeps.
Seal the Deal is very meh, Death Wishes are really tough challenges. Nyakuza Metro is fantastic.
@crimsontadpoles Well, I only read the article because of the 60FPS patch.
HOLY CRAP IT'S DLC TIME BABYYY
Good thing I got distracted and stopped playing, will happily wait for this patch and the new DLC.
Ooh! Finnaly, this is my only day 1 full price dlc purchase! Love this game.
