Here's one more game to add to the growing list of titles scheduled for reveals at The Game Awards 2020 this Thursday. Square Enix's NieR Replicant remake will be in attendance during Geoff Keighley's pre-show to debut a "brand new look" at the game. We assume this will take the shape of some sort of gameplay trailer ahead of its April 2021 release date on PlayStation 4.
The game joins Dragon Age 4 and Crimson Desert in confirmed announcements for the show. Do you hope this is an experience on the same level as NieR: Automata? Get weird in the comments below.

Geoff must be a nightmare at Christmas. You would know all your presents before the big day.
My most hyped game of the 2020s so far.
Hi have this game on PS3, part of my backlog. Infact it is still sealed.......lol. Need to correct that, and now that I have finished Enslaved Odyssey to the West, I will make Nier my next PS3 game to take off my backlog.
@Eadgar This is the one that was a european exclusive or japanese exclusive? I forgot
That name though, puts kingdom hearts to shame
@UltimateOtaku91 Fun fact 1.22474487139 is the square root of 1.5
@DualshockInfinit The one they are debuting at the game awards is the one that was Japan exclusive, with the younger protagonist and I believe his sister.
The one I own is with the older protagonist and his daughter.
Do you hope this is an experience on the same level as NieR: Automata?
This game, even in it's original form is already many, many levels above Automata.
@Shigurui Except for it's combat, which is a lot less polished by comparison.
@Shigurui Really?! I thought Automata was fantastic. If this is better then I’m sold.
@Orpheus79V - I agree. The combat was underwhelming. Though I really liked the way you can add spells into combos with the melee system and the dictionary system had some potential.
@Th3solution - Combat aside, I honestly feel it's a far better game. Better characters, story, world/level design, music and bosses. YMMV of course.
@Shigurui Replicant is underrated. I'm glad this updated version will bring it to the spotlight.
I wonder if this is like where people say Xenoblade Chronicles 1 is way better than the 2nd, so I played the 1st after loving number 2 and was hugely let down. Loved Automata so keeping my expectations in check for this one!
