Gacha slam-dunk Genshin Impact will run at 60 frames-per-second on the PlayStation 5, courtesy of PS4 backwards compatibility. Chinese developer miYoHo confirmed that it’s “been working to ensure that Genshin Impact will be fully backwards compatible with the new console” on the PlayStation Blog, and added that the release’s new v1.1 update – available today – will include PS5 Game Boost improvements. The PS4 Pro version ran at a largely inconsistent 30 frames-per-second.

The patch will also include new characters, weapons, and various other enhancements and improvements. “We are dedicated to bringing players the best gaming experience possible and are extremely grateful for everyone’s continued patience and support as we continue to create the world of Teyvat,” explained brand manager Jason Chuang.
