The conversation around making games accessible to more players has been burning brighter this generation, and it's something more developers are paying attention to. More and more games are beginning to provide accessibility options for those who need them. Naughty Dog has actually been making a case for this with its last couple of titles; Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and The Lost Legacy both have many options to make sure everyone, regardless of ability, will have a good experience.
It sounds like the studio is taking the same approach with The Last of Us: Part II. During an interview with Mexican site 3DJuegos, director Neil Druckmann assures that the sequel will be approachable to all types of players. However, this won't be at the cost of the game's atmosphere: "We want the game to be accessible, that many people can play it, but that everyone feels the tension no matter how difficult they play it," says a Google translated Druckmann. "That tension is very important in Ellie's story and the feeling that leaves you."
There will of course be multiple difficulty settings, but it seems the studio will go the extra mile. "We will have many accessibility options, we know that not everyone has the same skill, the same visual or auditory ability, we want to make sure everyone can enjoy the story," Druckmann says.

Easy mode = clickers can only insta-kill you from 1 meter away instead of 3 meters.
i mean who would not be happy with more accessibilty options.
since the ps4's slogan is "for the players" it only makes sense to add these . and they are always welcome imo even if i don't realy use them myself.
Easy platinum, confirmed.
@oldschool1987 I’d just be happy if after completing the game I had more than 5% of the trophies.
@BearsEatBeets I forgot about that! I think they didn't want the trophy notification to distract you from being immersed in the game. That was the reason, wasn't it?
@BearsEatBeets Easy trophies are boring, why should you get rewarded for merely completing the story? I platinumed Tlou, which I rarely do these days unless I'm really invested in it. Besides, it are only digital trophies, don't put too much emphasis on them and just enjoy the game.
@Amusei survival mode on TLOU was absolutely incredible. What an experience
I particularly don't agree with the "everybody can play it" approach. A game about a post-apocalyptic world shouldn't feel accessible in any way.
@Neolit "We want the game to be accessible, **that many people** can play it, but that everyone feels the tension no matter how difficult they play it.

They tried their best too make it accesible to many visual for the colorblind i think, subtitles maybe for the deaf people.
Many difficulty settings for people that are not the best players.
Dont be mad they tried what they could as a
"software developer" they dont make hardware Naughty Dog is not Sony its a studio owned by Sony.
@Neolit just wondering, what did microsoft do to accommodate people with disabilities? I really didnt know that they had done something like that. But good on them for that.
@Neolit in total agreement with you. I have a friend who's pretty much lost the use of one of his arms. So no PlayStation for him. He's been using a Wii so I mentioned to him about this module setup Microsoft has been developing and he's looking into it so he can hopefully get into some more up to date games. That's for the players. Though not everyone's of the same opinion unfortunately, as is testified by the down votes you've got for daring to suggest Microsoft is better than PlayStation at certain things.
