The Last of Us: Part II is shaping up to be a system defining game, and it’ll also be one of the PlayStation 4’s biggest. Much like Red Dead Redemption 2 before it, the title will ship on two Blu-ray discs. This means that if you’re going physical, there’ll likely be a bit of install time required before you play. If it follows the same format as Rockstar’s Western, one disc will be used to copy data, while the other will allow you to actually boot the game.
Our guess is that there are going to be a lot of cinematics in the title, so expect a gigantic file size. You can watch the exclusive’s latest trailer through here, and also learn about its various Special Editions through here.

If it shipped on 2 Xbox discs now that would really be a headline.

As long as we get that naughty dog quality it's all good. One long install for hours and hours of what should be a brilliant game.
I really wonder the the amount of time it will take.Gotta be longer than the first i felt.
it'll take no more time to install from disc as it will from the download version. disc all the way for me.. it'll be a lot quicker than potentially downloading up to 100gb. plus, i already have it pre-ordered for £39.
@jdv95 - joel had a daughter around 12 years old, and the events in the original game are 20 years after that. about 5 years have passed since the end of TLoU, so joel would likely be at least in his late 50s if not older - and it's not as if he's been coasting retirement binging on netflix, and getting a regular 5-a-day of fresh fruit and veg.
After spending a long time making it,it would have been odd if it only came on one disc. Like rdr2 ,there will be a one time install data disc and the game unlock disc.maybe..
it's insane that the ps4 has reached its limits games like this come on 2 discs, will we see 2 disc games on the ps5 i wonder?
I get the feeling from the trailer that this game is going to have a few large areas in it like the Madagascar level from Uncharted 4. That’s certainly going to add to the file size.
Still going to go physical like RDR2, even if means a wait while it installs.
I hope the game and the story is at least 30hrs

I have heard through rumors and hidden details this game could exceed 200gb digital aswell as disc version so gonna need some serious space on my PS4 for this one
