Shenmue I & II will not release in Japan until 22nd November, but fans’ patience will be rewarded in the form of a stunning Collector’s Edition only available overseas. The pretty PlayStation 4 exclusive will cost ¥5,990 (~$54) and will come with a copy of the game and a 40 song soundtrack in a special presentation package. You’ll also get a poster if you pre-order.
There’s a trailer for the Japanese release embedded above. It’s a shame we’re not getting the Collector’s Edition on these shores, but the early release date makes up for it.

That box art hits all the right boxes for me. Too bad I don't really care about video game boxes anymore.
Hmm. I dunno. I'd happily trade a few months to get such a gorgeous box. It's not like I'm gonna be able to play it right away anyway! Since when did 2018 get so busy?!
Collectors edition? Sold!! Preordered mine already.
😒And like always Japan getting the best stuff
@Kidfried Palpatine got you! Come back to the light side!
Looks nice. Cant afford 10s of £s for pretty boxes though.
Games need an internet connection and patches to run these days anyway. Really no point in having the insecurity of physicality being your only proof of ownership.
Get it as a collectors piece, sure, but physical, today, as your main form of purchase is just a bit silly and stubborn.
@Real_Obsi I agree with you on the physical side but that Box looks beautiful and as a fan at least I get that a soundtrack and a poster
