PSN Down as Users Can't Sign In

Yap! Happened to me D: bye Fortnite and everything else

Just turned it on after resting up after work. I think this is the first time I've been a part of a PSN downtime on PS4.

Was gonna boot up ps4 for some Monster Hunter Action but i guess i'll go back to the Xbox 1 and Rise of the tomb raider. Meeeh Heres to the future everybody.

Can't block cross-play to other systems when there isn't a network for them to play with

It's back online for me

Working my way through Titanfall 2 campaign at the mo as PSN down.

Network seems to be working now as I've been unable to connect for the last hour.

I've been streaming orange is the new black so I have no idea. Hopefully its fine in a couple hours.

It seems to be working for me now. I was doing a single player game, so I didn't notice it go down.

I was playing Skyrim and my son was playing Fortnite. He was booted right away but I was able to keep playing. Poor little guy went to bed because of the loss of his precious Fortnite lol. Now things are back up and my daughter wants to watch Netflix on my son’s PS4 but video services won’t connect. What a Saturday night...

I downloaded a demo for soukiden kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 today. Not sure if that counts as a psn issue though.

@DerMeister Glad you've dodged them thusfar; this is the first time a significant outage has hit whilst I've been away from my PS4. I guess we're what's keeping the universe in balance!

Had no issues yesterday and today. Was it only EU that was affected?

Yeah, I can't login from my smartphone yesterday when I want to install nms from psn website, but about 1 hour later I can login successfully.

It was terrible, I got my PSVR yesterday, and couldn't get my demos downloaded.

@WanderingBullet no, I was kicked and couldn’t connect for about an hour and a half. In the US.

@ztpayne7 Hmm, maybe I logged in just as the service was coming back online? I played quite a bit yesterday, though and I also played earlier this morning too. I think the one that happened roughly two weeks ago was worst than this one.

@WanderingBullet I don’t think I remember that one. The weird thing about this one is the error code was leading people to believe their ip had been suspended. I was connected online but every time I tried to launch overwatch, the game crashed and my psn went down til I restarted. After several times, I couldn’t log onto psn anymore and that’s when I investigated the code. When I saw countless people on twitter get the same thing, I switched to single player and just rode it out.

was working ok for me, though i was watching a movie on ps4 rather than doing anything social. i started watching at about 23:20 and it finished about 01:05 and i was connected ok before and after.. usually my PS4 goes bananas with the "LAN cable not connected" error if there's any sort of network interruption.

@WanderingBullet oh wow! That’s pretty crazy! Glad you weren’t affected by this one.

Now imagine after paying for a service if the only way to play games is by streaming them, how can you play them when these companies shut down their services. This is just one of the plethora of problems with online only and streaming services. If you can still defend always online and streaming services after this than there is no helping you ever and you are a lost cause.

This issue reminded me of why I shouldn’t go fully digital. All my games are digital now and when I wanted to play Skyrim, a game that doesn’t require online connectivity, I was unable to. They’ve gotta figure out a way to solve at least this issue.

thankfully for me i've been playing my ps3 offline (singleplayer) during the peak of the outage so i haven't been effected by it much, but i didn't manage to access the ps app on my phone today so hopefully the worst of it has gone at least.

Well seeing as I have no internet due to my life falling apart in the last few days I've at least been largely unaffected by this. Every cloud, eh?

@kyleforrester87 Yes, and I realized this after it was all said & done. My son’s console is set as my main so he can play the games I’ve purchased. Remember having this issue before and having figured it out before lol. Guess it slipped my mind.
