@Neuromancer but you're not adding it to your all digital library. Only essential games are added to your all digital library. Extra games are just added to your library for the duration that your 'lord and saviour', Sony allows you to have access to it.
You would have to *buy the game for it to be accessible for longer.

Hell is us what a great game

So because I switched from my UK account to my European account I was able to download those games last-week? I couldn't figure out why someone said they were 'waiting' for Two Point Museum in the Weekend Thread, my thought was 'how slow is their internet? it's a tiny file'. This staggered approach is really weird. I wish they'd return to the old system because now it feels like I'll have to play musical chairs with my accounts to play early. Or on time.

@GirlVersusGame That was me! I got slightly ahead last night by downloading the 2 hour free trial, playing it for 2 hours, and then switching over to the plus version today 😂

Hell is Us & Metro Exodus for me. I played Metro 2033 few years ago and Metro Last Light few months ago & loved the atmosphere. On the fence about Dying Light 2. The first one is one of my favorite games ever: it is like Dead Island combined with Mirror's Edge parkour mechanics.

@FinneasGH It was you yes I remember looking, reading it, looking at the file-size then back at your comment. I thought you had dial-up because some countries actually still do and then I thought 'how long does it take them to download a huge Triple-A game?'. Sony need to get rid of this new method and go back to the old one, it's so pointless. Hopefully some of the tips I left in the same thread help, it's a great game but there were a few moments where it didn't explain things clearly. Finally unlocking the perks system is really helping, I'm burning a lot of spare exhibits to turn them into Enlightenment. It unlocks new decorations too.

I'm on day one-hundred and thirty-five and still haven't tried botany or ghosts, it's not been turned off since day one, the game just keeps making so much passive income and I'm using it to pump employee wages, train staff, buy more space/plots, etc.

@Xodan Dying Light 2 takes some getting used to. I didn't play either initially and went from Dying Light 1 right into 2; couldn't get into 2. Took a small break from it and playing it again 2 and it's growing on me some but not like 1 did. 2 also has this weird CoD store that's pushed which is a turnoff but doesn't change gameplay at least - just annoying there's a notice about the store often. The parkour elements were upgraded and you can do more while moving which is pretty cool. I read someone say that Dying Light 1 was a zombie horror game with parkour while 2 is a parkour game with zombies in it.

@GirlVersusGame I can't stand this staggered approach. I don't want to keep track of which game is available on what date; just release the group of games like before and let gamers decide what they want to download.

@PocketHotDogs Thank you very much for the info about Dying Light 2. Maybe I will try it someday or maybe I will skip it and go directly to Dying Light: The Beast which I feel is more like the first one.

@PocketHotDogs I can see how staggering could work with a non subscription game. Bug fixes, supply shortages, excitement and hype, they can test games in a smaller market, and they do that in some regions. But these games aren't always new so all it's doing is using a business model that can work elsewhere and applying it somewhere else (where it doesn't work) It's a sign that Sony have lost touch with the people playing those games. Staggering looks good on paper, never in practice, it's denying one sector access to your product, all while the others aren't time-limited.

Two Point Museum is a perfect example of something else. This site had a review up of the game but it hadn't been released. Someone asked me how I'd been playing it at the same time because I had no press affiliation. I used other means/methods and a lawless region to get the game early, it was nothing new for me, it too was staggering the market, but it was the first time anyone on here realized.

That method and opportunity can be traced back to an unfair and broken system, I see staggering a subscription as no different. Demon's Souls is a perfect example, it created resentment among my friends because I had it and the console weeks early. Sony are doing that too by giving one region the Plus+ games they paid for early, while that other region has to wait. It's not good for communities either, everyone is entitled to the same service.

@GirlVersusGame this drip feed release is horrible. Go back to how it was. I'm going to give hell is us a go as I quite enjoyed the demo.

@Northern_munkey I've been meaning to tag you actually, there's a game out at the moment called Yet Another Zombie Survivors, another dopamine machine. I played it a little and have to say it's really good, it feels a lot like Halls of Torment but with guns, the enemy types are really creative too. It's worth having a look at it.

Nothing for me but solid games. Hell us Us wasn't for me, finished DL when it launched on Xbox and im pretty sure I've played Exodus already on Xbox as well.

Another month and another spit in the face for not spending +$900 on a ps5. I currently have 65 games for my ps4.....63 are digital. Most (70%) of which came with the ps plus sub.... Can I afford a ps5? Yes. But there's no way I could ever justify (to myself) spending almost a rent payment on a console. Down the line I may get a PS5 I damn sure I'm not getting a ps6 I'm done with PlayStation after the next console. I've already started the process of going backwards a little bit buying my sister's used Xbox 360 for dirt cheap and getting all the guitar hero games I like, metal gear rising revengeance and dantes inferno and I will have so much more fun getting back into their guitar hero tracks I haven't played in about 15 years.. can't wait. So when I'm done with the PS4 I'm done with PlayStation. I'll use the Xbox and maybe get a Nintendo switch, a lot of their games look fun as hell. Sony has clearly put its shareholders above its customers which we know that happens, but they were pretty blatant about it and still are so f*** them

@Northern_munkey I'll put it on my list thank you, I started Crimson Desert again today. It's so different than launch day, they really pulled it together. It even looks better, I know what's going in my Weekend post tomorrow.

@Northern_munkey That was me and I've been playing it too, I saw it and thought it was just another knock-off but then that 'what if it's not?' kicked in and I clicked buy. It was one of those rainy day, maybe I'll try it eventually, then I gave in and after realizing I'd put hours in decided I better tell you too. Hopefully more people give it a try
