Of the trio of PlayStation 2’s platforming icons, Sly Cooper is by far our favourite. And there’s good news for fans of the slapstick stealth series: Sony and Technicolor are working on a new television CG-animated cartoon inspired by the franchise.
There are no additional details right now, but this appears to put a nail in the coffin of the movie that was announced a while back. But it does mean that the chances of a new game have increased – especially if the show proves a success.

Hopefully they'll contact Kevin Miller so he can lend his vocal chords for Sly again.
Here's to hoping it'll do well so we can get another game.
There's reason they can approach the guys that did Thieves in Time to do anyone. A new Sly with a budget price could do well.
Damn love Sly games!
Could sucker punch be returning to an old friend? I guess it is more likely that Sanzaru games will be coming back if a new game is in the works, afterall, they did a great job on the remasters and on sly 4

@Kyroki they did indeed. And their stock rose even higher for me because they brought all the games to playstation vita, and did an amazing job. They play perfectly! Love anyone who showed that platform the respect it deserves
I'm guessing this decision is directly correlated to the Ratchet movie's performance.
I definitely wouldn't mind either a new game or cartoon. I just hope the cartoon isn't bad, or doesn't land on Cartoon Network and becomes another comedy series.
I was hoping Sony would get into this, they should make a LBP show for the young'uns too.
If they can bring the original voice actors aboard and have Grey DeLisle as Carmelita then I'm already sold.
