The more we see of World of Final Fantasy, the more we're convinced that it's going to be a heart-warming little game. The title's latest PlayStation 4 screenshots show off towns, characters, moogles, and cosy looking airships.
The project's cutesy aesthetic won't be for everyone, of course, but we have to admit the world that's on show here looks incredibly inviting. It's something a bit different as far as modern console role-playing games go, and to be honest, we reckon that it's quite a refreshing approach. The title's still on course to release later this year on both PS4 and Vita.

This seems to be a modern Final Fantasy Mystic Quest......not literally, but in it's goals (easy mechanics, appeal to a wide audience, introduce people to FF, etc).
It's so adorable and it makes me want to play it now.
To be honest, i am more excited by this than final fantasy 15! Already on pre-order for my vita
@Rob_230 Ditto and ditto!
yeah they do look REALLY good
still getting it on Vita Though
I really dislike the art style of the 2 main characters. The rest seems alright, might get it if it gets nice reviews
Im looking gorward to this . But.... ff15 bf1 n titanfall2 all realease in a 30 day period of each other, hard times on the wallet....
Not to mention ginding the time to balance investing time into these games.
Love the environments, creatures and chibi characters, but the two main characters look horrendous when they're in their 'normal', non-chibi form. Still looks like a lot of fun though so definitely picking this up!
@Rob_230 The same here i like the setting more.
@Rob_230 yep, have been way more excited about this one than Final Fantasy 15 although I have preordered both
I'm very happy with the length of the game, it has been rumoured to last possibly up to 100 hrs or more if you do absolutely everything. This is a massive game and looks so much fun. Will definitely buy this but don't now when I'll get to play, with so many top games coming my way.
Those character designs look horrific.
Not really excited about the whole chibi look (whatever the hell a chibi is). Sadly thats the only thing keeping me from being 100% on board with this game. It also reminds me why I never was into rpgs back in the day, like "why is everyone a midget!? I cant take this seriously...". I'll prolly pick this up anyways for when my neice is around and myself of course . Its just kind of hard to play The Witcher 3 when shes around when they all of sudden show a scene with topless women covered in blood. Soo ya now I'll have something else to play when shes around besides Kingdom Hearts.
@ekreig Agreed. This is the reason why final Fantasy IX is my favorite. It has the most Fantasy out of all the more recent games. With different races and worlds and better storyline. Final Fantasy XV just feels like a normal world with monsters and magic in it
If it get an ok review for the ps vita. For sure, i will give it a go. Not the type off game i play on the ps4.
I usually like chibi when done well, but those heads are as wide as they are tall.
Even so, I'm warming up to the artstyle more and more each time I see it.
turn based games just aren't for me.. other than that it looks great.. too bad about that archaic battle system
@SonuvLiberty snort Seriously? What do you think a chibi is? A chibi maybe? Otherwise known as deformed or midget in Japanese. It's been a thing for over 30 years babes.
@Riririn Haha well that explains it. Guess I shoulda spent more time reading about japanese midgets. Well now I learned something new, thanks!
A definite buy for my vita.
@Rob_230 haha same here and haven't touched a jrpg in a decade.
