Crash Bandicoot will return in 2017, Sony has confirmed. The furry hero doesn't have a new game coming any time soon - boo! - but his first three original PlayStation outings are being remastered for PS4. We're not sure how you remaster a bunch of PSone games, but we're reasonably excited to replay those gems all the same.
But yeah, you won't be collecting wumpa fruit and spinning haphazardly into your foes until next year, so you'd better stop practising that hilarious little thrusting dance for the time being and pick it up again later when we've got an actual release date.

Remastered from the ground up, so they should feel new but familiar at the same time. Here's to hoping at E3 2017 or even PlayStation Experience 2016, we hear about a new entry in the franchise!

Weirdly I'm almost more excited for these than Activision trying to make a new game
So my prediction about Crash came true, it is not a new game.
@Draythedestroyer Nope...just a fly-by announcement en route to the Skylanders trailer. Better than nothing for an audience that was bracing for the leaked Skylanders inclusion to be Crash's ONLY news, anyway.
Remasters was all I wanted. PLEASE make Crash Team Racing a reality again, to me it still is the best of Crash Games.
I'm just happy Crash was spoken about at all to be honest. I'll be picking up the remasters for sure. Hope we get to see some footage soon

That's what I was wondering. Will they just be spruced-up versions of what they were or have the devs worked from the ground up and started again?
Probably the former I guess as the latter would prob be too expensive.
I hope this is just a warm-up to a real, new Crash game coming some time down the line...

Good job we were warned from the leaks days before about crash returning in Skylanders,cuz not only Is that a major punch to the gut...but Crash looked crap in the Skylanders demo anyway!But so pleased about the remasters..the only good Crash games!
It`s best for it not to exist than ACTIVISION producing it.
Skylanders Imagination is a laughable joke but I didn`t laugh, snigger or chuckle rather I was somewhat disgusted. Personally I`m really annoyed that the one and only Crash Bandicoot THE only TRUE mascot Sony ever had and THE ONLY one that rivalled Mario (as well as sonic of course) will be receiving remasters by the company responsible for ruining Spyro`s image!! Disgraceful! utterly disgraceful!.Damn disgraceful! Activision should just stick to their Call of Duty franchise and taking to account all of the above THIS is why Nintendo are the best company at producing platform games and to add to this why the decade of 1990 is and ALWAYS WILL BE the very best decade for gaming.

release date confirmed for february by a retailer , but only 2 days before horizon zero dawn , so its probably gonna be changed , can't wait for this
