Originally released in Japanese arcades all the way back in 1998, The Last Blade 2 is bringing 18 swordsmen together on PlayStation 4 and Vita so that they can once again slice the snot out of each other. This is a tense 2D fighter that became something of a cult release, and it's being revived next month on Sony's current consoles, complete with online multiplayer, cross-platform play, and cross-save functionality.

Boasting some rather pixelated visuals by today's standards, those who can't get past anything but the best when it comes to graphics had better look away now - but at least the title's impressive sprite animation has weathered reasonably well all the same.

The game's slicing its way to the PlayStation Network on the 24th May, and as an added bonus, buyers will nab pleasant PS4 and Vita themes to go along with the release. Until then, shake the dust from your sword and head down into the comments section below.
