Golf's most famous course, the Augusta National, will be missing in the PlayStation 4's forthcoming EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour. The iconic American club, home to the Masters tournament which has just teed off in real-life, will not put in an appearance because the publisher's license has expired.
"Our license with Augusta National has expired and it does not currently appear in EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour," a spokesperson told Polygon. "However, we will continue to examine opportunities to include this world-class course in the game." This means that it could make its way into the release via downloadable content.
The question is: has its absence putt you off this title? Swing low in the comments section below.

Golf's most famous course is St Andrews
so that means it's missing from all versions right, not just the PS4 versioin?
@FullbringIchigo Correct. It's not in the game at all.
@get2sammyb thanks
Sure it's a little disappointing but not a deal breaker. My favorite courses have always been the fake ones from the early years. I'm glad they're bringing those back
I love PGA, I don't much care that it's missing, I much prefer the Scottish links courses.
@Deehan1888 apparently they've been playing golf at st andrews since the 1400s, pre team usa history. Funny
St Andrews is better
Hope its got Hoylake as I live in the town and it's wear that Manc loving swine McIlroy won the open last summer after dumping his lovely Liverpool FC loving tennis player fiancée . Lucky escape for her.
