PlayStation 4 Mega Bundle

Sony originally indicated that it intended to sell its recently announced PlayStation 4 Mega Bundle for the same price as the Xbox One, but that didn’t quite pad out in the end. Most retailers are currently carrying the UK package for around £449.99, which is a little more expensive than the Xbox One’s default £429.99 option. Leave it to Amazon, though, to significantly cut the cost.

Despite originally plumping up for the same price as everyone else, the online outlet has since reduced the figure of the meaty collection to the same sum as Microsoft’s machine, making the Japanese giant’s console look incredibly cost-effective in comparison. For those out of the loop, the Mega Bundle consists of a PS4 system, two DualShock 4 controllers, a PlayStation Eye, and a copy of Killzone: Shadow Fall.

We suppose that the only downside is that you’ll need to have pre-ordered pretty early to even stand a chance of snagging one of the cheap and cheerful packages. Amazon is currently in the process of contacting those eligible to upgrade, with emails being distributed to lucky customers as we type. Did you get one yet?
