We’re not sure that we understand the fascination surrounding programmed personality Hatsune Miku, but the computer generated pop star is known for sending some folks more gaga than, er, Lady Gaga. If you fit into that category, then you may want to hot step your way over to the Niconico Chōkaigi 2 event that’s taking place in Japan this weekend, where you’ll be able to play air hockey against the digital diva via a brand new PlayStation Vita demo.

The title – which was produced by SCEJ in collaboration with Crypton Future Media – takes advantage of Sony’s nifty Smart AR technology, putting you in the same room as the green haired superstar. There’s no word on whether this will get a full release just yet, so this weekend’s convention may be your only opportunity to play with your virtual celebrity crush.
