What's that in the distance?

PS3 owners will get to begin their poignant pilgrimage next month when thatgamecompany’s hotly anticipated Journey drops onto the PlayStation Store. The release date was outed by Game Informer magazine, who revealed the game’s March launch in its latest issue. The developer announced that the game was essentially finished last week.

Speaking on Twitter, the developer added that an average playthrough of Journey will last between three and five hours, but the studio was keen to add that the game has massive replay value.

Don’t expect a PlayStation Vita port just yet though, as no plans for a handheld release have been made.

We’d put money on flower making its way to PS Vita at some point in the future. Imagine those visuals on the handheld’s OLED screen. Bloomin' lovely.
