Pretty sure Titan would have ended up being a Starcraft MMO, and I remember hearing it was pushed back since it had too much in common with WOW. I think a combination of that and Dstiny being ready pushed it back as Blizaard focused on its new games.
Call of Duty is still mainly a shooter. Destiny for all intestive purposes is a MMO, it being a borderlands style game was thrown out the door when they announced that its always online and some of the end game content can only be played with other plays.
