The recent hints of two new silent hill games has got me thinking, whats the future of the SH IP? aside from the obvious "lol pachinkslots" so thats what this discussion is for.
I don't put down rules, but I do ask that the discussion not get too heated and stay on topic lol
not to get on the Konami hate train (tho it is tempting) but if you ask me, the first thing they would have to do to get back in the good graces of fans would be to put P.T. back on PSN
What I would want is if those two games were SH/SH3 collection and SH2/SH4 collection. 1 and 3 together since they’re plot related and then 2 and 4 as the remaining two great games. After seeing how Konami make games without their talent, I would rather they just give us the classics on modern hardware without the godawful porting job they did on PS3.
actually believe it or not, Team Silent is a little at fault for the HD collection turning out the way it did, or so i read
basically what I read/heard was that upon Team Silent being split up, they took the source code for SH2 with them, which is why Konami and the team who handled the port had to use a rough beta build of the game, so if that story is true, then I wont bemoan them for it.
I wouldn't take my word for it tho, I'm 100% sure what I read/heard is true, so yea
@GingerSilent If it’s not possible for them to port it themselves, they should hire fans like SEGA did with Sonic Mania and enlist the ones who’ve created the fixes for SH2 on PC to help.
