@BlueGBAMicro interesting article, even more interesting are the people roasting him in the comments. Oh how did we manage before the interwebz? 🤷‍♂️
Many people get suspended for messages that’s why i turned them off a long time ago ; it’s always been a thing since the ps3 but when the ps4/Xbone came out , it ramped up and suspensions happen faster and reporting is encouraged i.e “in your face” . I got suspended on both ps3 and several times on 360 so , yea , this is nothing new .
my last suspension on my account was september 2020 for 30 days , i really wish they wouldn’t cater to kids so much when 99% of their profits are from adults and most games that aren’t fortnite or minecraft are played by older audiences
The most important piece is missing: what he said that resulted in the ban. I'm sure if he was cordial, he wouldn't get banned, even if he was reported.
@Milktastrophe Exactly. Considering that I’ve had someone message calling me a f**got after a game and even that didn’t get a follow up from Sony to say that they were banned after reporting, it’s disingenuous at best for them to act innocent without sharing the offending message. If you treat others with kindness, refuse to stoop to their level and then report them and move on, there’s nothing you can be reported for. I’ve received shocking abuse over the years to the point that I just don’t play online games anymore so I’ll take an overly harsh system over the Wild West. You can always appeal undeserved bans but you can’t appeal somebody you’ve reported who wasn’t banned.
I do have to go down the route mentioned in his article of the other player WAS/IS a Sony/PS employee and banned the person who was owning him out of spite.
