I'm not too happy with some of what I have encountered so far. Such as people shooting you in the back for no reason just as you're about to escape the planet.
Hello everyone. I'm new to the boards and have been been playing HD2 for 2 weeks. Currently level 20. I've unfortunately come across some toxic gamers. For example, last night I joined a room and helped with all missions and collected lots of loot only to be shot in the back just as I entered the escape vessel. Quick question as a trophy hunter who is yet to start Helldivers 2… will the seeming recent capitulation of the automatons have any impact on players who are late to the game being able to pop the platinum?

@colonelkilgore Yeah, there's a couple - from something as simple as "play one bot mission" to a crazy one like "shoot off arms of a Hulk and extract while it's still alive"

If it runs like the first game the war will run for a few months, humanity will either be victorious or be defeated. Then the next war will begin. I would imagine the devs have just gone with the same cycle as being locked out of trophies after a couple of months would be very shortsighted.
I haven't played the game though so this is entirely speculation.

@colonelkilgore The last trophy that I have while not bot specific is pretty much impossible at the moment without them. I'm really hoping they come back soon!

Oh no, you should definitely play it. It's awesome. I'm still sulking that they abandoned the twin-stick stylee. Try to get the Trident weapon and drone thing that can find objectives then go searching easy missions for samples - you'll need them.
