Topic: Red Dead 2 epic stories - please tell!

Hi all,

Ok I’m late to Red Dead 2 but this game is on a different level and Rockstar I take my hat off to you!

Anyway does anyone want to share a story that doesn’t necessarily spoil it for others? Here’s my story that happened literally just now:

So I’m on my way to attempt to get a perfect panther pelt. I say attempt as panthers are lethal. You can die instantly if they get the drop on you. Anyway on my journey I come across an escaped prisoner (weirdly he seems to remember me?!).

So I read something online (really not a spoiler I hope) that you can shoot his foot chains off, get information from him, and then lasso and hogtie him before taking him to the sheriff for a reward. Great! So it was all going so well, had him on the back of my horse, and I tried to take him (my panther quest obviously abandoned) to the Sheriff. But the Sheriff wouldn’t take him or it wasn’t working how it was supposed to - not sure which.

So I dropped him right in front of the deputy in the Sheriffs office - nothing. Now what? No dialogue was available. Then... I saw him cutting himself free and he ran out. Damn! So I ran after him and my lasso wasn’t available on the weapon wheel. He then stole a horse and rode off into the sunset with me helpless. Wow!

All I can say is Rockstar I’m not sure if there was a bug in there for the Sheriff not accepting the prisoner but even so - what an incredible piece of gaming. Triple A gaming at its best. I’m still a little speechless 👏 👏
