@Gremio108 Hopefully that comes in as handy as my infamous Sekiro tips.
The Dancer of The Boreal Valley is probs my fave DS3 fight. I thought the music, setting, the way she moved all came together to make the perfect boss fight. Aldrich, Devourer of Gods comes a close second because of where it is and the lore attached to him. Also one of the most horrific bosses in the game if you read about him.
@JohnnyShoulder I’ll be honest, I beat Dancer first time and didn’t really think anything of it but on NG+ I appreciated just how good a fight it was. She has good varied moves, she’s fast but doesn’t home in on you like certain other bosses and you never feel like you’re in control. I don’t think 3 had many bosses that I remember that much to be honest, I only died over and over to bosses like The Nameless King, basically all DLC bosses and Champion Gundyr.
@nessisonett Ooof The Nameless King. Took my and a buddy countless times to beat him. Probs the hardest boss in the Soulsborne, apart from the ones I've yet to beat lol.

I first-timed the Nameless King, and then really struggled with him in New game+. The Dancer, on the other hand, has given me endless grief every time I've fought her.
Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.
@Gremio108 Do you think you’re maybe a bit too aggressive when you fight her? I found the pillars a godsend for regrouping and I tried to not take too many chances because she’s really heavy hitting. My general rule of thumb in that game is to roll into attacks which doesn’t quite work in other games in the series but works wonders in DS3 and Bloodborne. It’s really rookie advice but I find keeping it mind helps.
@nessisonett Possibly yeah. When I was retreating she kept on closing the gap really quickly. Also, I was just terrible at reading her cues for ages. And then in New game+ I decided to take her on earlier, when you get that first opportunity.
I'm tempted to play through DS3 again with a brand new character, see how I get on now I've got all the other games under my belt.
Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.
@Gremio108 Dark Souls 3 is really similar to Bloodborne in the sense that offence is your best defence. It’s better to hug her tight and use the pillars for an estus as she’s insanely fast. That’s why I’m going back to Dark Souls 2, I’ve played all the other games now so I feel like it would be a different experience.
@nessisonett I didn't really struggle with Champion Gundyr, Pontiff Sulyvahn gave me the most grief, and the Abyss Watchers, at first. @JohnnyShoulder and @nessisonett I have done Demon Ruins, Lost Izalith and New Londo Ruins now. Just Tomb of the Giants left now before the final area, and I have already reached the first bonfire in that area. I got killed by that giant dog/wolf skeleton thing that's on the level above the bonfire whilst I was exploring, but now I know where to go in order to get to Gravelord Nito.
P.s I opted for a Giant Dad Build and am having a great amount of fun with my Chaos Zweihander.
@Draco_V_Ecliptic You’re getting there all right! I do love the big boi swords, I used Black Knight Sword throughout most of the series but I’m playing with the Estoc in DS2 this time which I’m quite enjoying.
@nessisonett What do you like about the Estoc? I've completed it now. I beat Gravelord Nito and went on to dispatch Gwyn. I struggled a bit with Gwyn, I must admit, I actually found O&S aka Biggie and Smalls much easier this time around, but maybe that was because I had faced them before and struggled with them initially, I hadn't faced Gwyn before today, but yeah, it's all about parrying as they say. I only summoned NPCs twice, once against Iron Golem and then again with O&S, I didn't summon any other players as I didn't see any summon signs throughout my entire playthrough, ah well, it's probably for the best.
Edit: I found it easier than DS3 overall, how about you and @JohnnyShoulder ? They are quite different beasts though, and it's hard to compare them, even though they both draw from the same source of Miyazaki's lore, I am glad to have completed both games now though, and completed the circle, as it were. All I have to do now is wait for Elden Ring and the Demon's Souls Remake.
@Draco_V_Ecliptic I like that with the Estoc, you can get in a poke way more times than you can with a greatsword. It makes the areas a lot easier but the bosses are just as hard since it does less damage. Dark Souls 2 is weird though, none of the bosses in the regular game are that hard so I’ll probably only see the major differences once I got into NG+.
@Draco_V_Ecliptic Its hard to say as when I initially played Dark Souls it infuriated me. I only went back and played the remastered version after I had played all the other games, so I had a much better understanding of what i was doing and my skills had improved. But I think some of the bosses in DS3 are the toughest in the series with The Nameless King always coming up and the DLC bosses. But that can be quite subjective as what I found tough others wilk have found a total cake walk. Like i really struggled with Blood Starved Beast in Bloodborne, but I know others that did her in a few goes.

@JohnnyShoulder Yeah, it's totally subjective - I did BSB in Bloodborne in a few goes as well. They are great games, and I'm reading Berserk now to learn more about the inspiration for the Souls series, but we can discuss that in the manga and anime thread, if you think that would be best.

I've gone back to Dark Souls Remastered now, along with Bloodborne and Call of Cthulhu, planning on picking up Kingdom Come: Deliverance (Royal Edition) and Dawn of Fear in the next few days to add to the repertoire. But yeah, I am going for a Sellsword Guts Build in Dark Souls Remastered now, after seeing a few videos online featuring the build, and I decided that it would be easier to go through a NG cycle as Guts than struggle through NG+ due to the huge scaling of difficulty in order to acquire the Great Lord Greatsword that is only available there, for an alternative Guts Build. Plus I want the Symbol of Avarice which drops from the last Mimic you kill in NG, allegedly, and as I didn't pick one up on my first playthrough (presumably as I didn't kill any mimics) now is my best chance to do so.
I am going for a Guts build in Dark Souls Remastered, I have read some information on the internet about various Gut builds, but a consensus seems yet to have been reached for the optimal version of this build. How does the following sound:
Ok, I really like Dark Souls for most part (playing it for the first time), but it is really hard for me to fathom that this is a game based around perfect timing, which is a PS3 game remastered for the PS4 on my Pro, and then dying because of the frame rate drops.
Such a bad look. Just give me not up resed textures then... :')
@nessisonett I have heard nothing but good experiences from others on PS4 too, so I don't know what it is exactly, but I've already had moments that two or three moments that almost felt unplayable. Maybe it's just my PS4, signalling it's close to its end...
