I sure am. I just got my ps4 pro a few years ago. Feels new to me. Prior to that I was getting full use out of my Wii U. I like to work on one system at a time. I'm always a ways behind, I end up getting serious bargains this way.

I keep my PS4 around to play modern Playstation exclusives on (and the occasional game that was a really good deal on PSN). Considering stuff like Horizon Forbidden West, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, etc. will likely run perfectly fine on it, I feel no particular need to replace it with a PS5. Especially since I have some really nice themes on my system now, and none of those will carry over to the next-gen console.

So, yeah, I'll probably be riding this particular horse well into the future.

@Ralizah I miss themes. The Death Stranding one is my favourite, the music’s perfect for the menu. Although the PS2 one was good.

@nessisonett I love themes. I bought a ton of them for my 3DS as well. I don't play on my PS4 a lot, but I smile every time I hear the music in the FF7R theme I'm currently using.

Recent Nintendo and Sony hardware feel like they're going backwards, in some respects. No themes. No activity logs. No digital classic game lineups (well, only partially true for Switch, since the NES/SNES apps are a thing; but they're far worse than any of the Virtual Console lineups on their previous consoles). No folders.

What the hell!

Nope, and I probably won't ever again. I had a launch day PS4 that I still used up until a few months ago. Sadly after a house fire which the PS4 survived someone broke into the house and my PS4 was stolen (along with some other things). Funny enough the thieves didn't take the external hard drive so I have all of my games and such. However, I don't like the design of the PS4 slim and besides that I want MY PS4. The one that I got on launch day after standing in line for awhile. I know that sounds stupid but just thinking of having to get another one that isn't mine upsets me to the point that I don't want another one, instead I will just rebuy the games I had on my PS4 for my Xbox.

@Ralizah Things like folders were not there from day one on PS4, so there is a good chance some of the 'missing' features may turn up in a future update, as we are not even a year into its life.

I’ve owned two PS5’s and sold them both for the same reason, my crappy internet. I live in a college owned flat and use their visitor wi-fi. It works fine with my PS4 Pro, but it doesn’t stay connected to PS5’s. So I’m back to using my PS4 Pro and I’m perfectly happy with that if I’m honest. If anything owning two PS5’s in the space of 10 months has 100% confirmed to me that I don’t need one for a while yet. I have no problems playing the PS4 versions of Kena: Bridge of Spirits or Stray. Not to mention my PS4 backlog is absolutely huge.

@Bentleyma- interesting . i wouldve kept one ps5 since its backwards compatible though.

@nomither6 Thing is my backlog is digital, so having a console that disconnects from the internet every 5 minutes is problematic. PS4 games still look and play great, so I’m happy enough for now.

@Bentleyma- Surprised you buy your games digitally when your internet is that bad.

@Ralizah it just doesn’t like the PS5. My PS4 stays connected no problem, so downloading games isn’t an issue.

@Bentleyma- Could perhaps be an older router and the PS5 requires more up to date security protocols?

I bouth my ps4 slim two and a half years ago, so its new to me yet. I m really enjoying the console so far, many good games. I played the last of us duology last year and miles morales last mouth and i love it. Recently bouth valhalla and i m looking for ghost of tsushima discount and nier replicant.

@nessisonett Could be. I don’t have access to the router, so I got in contact with the IT department of the college and they said that the reason it doesn’t stay connected could be because I can only have 3 things connected to the wi-fi at one time. I only had the PS5 and my phone connected, so it definitely isn’t that. I’ll just have to wait until I eventually move to get a PS5!

Still enjoying the old Pro. 3 years old and it's still going absolutely fine - get a small amount of fan noise intermittently when playing Fenyx or F1 2021 with super-sampling on but then again it's creating a 4k picture and then squashing it down to 1080p so it's doing twice the work?

The Crucial 3D NAND SSD up its SATA3 bottom has helped no end with loading times reduced and I'd dare say it's running less hot (and quieter).

To me it all sounds like a good excuse to update the TV to a nice 4k set because then the Pro should be doing less work?

Not seen anything on the PS5 yet to make me want to spend £450 - more like £600 by the time you've got another controller, a charging dock, etc?

I am still enjoying my PS4 Pro also and will for at least another year.

The PSVR is the best VR system on the market today.
