Gamescom Opening Night Live remained relatively lowkey this year, with host Geoff Keighley promising mostly updates on announced projects rather than reveals of brand-new ones. Little Nightmares 3 was a welcoming surprise. Granblue Fantasy Relink finally getting a release date. Was expecting ZZZ to have a PS5 announcement (but I feel it's only a matter of time) and was really hoping to get an actual release date for Honkai Star Rail. Crimon Desert looks interesting but still needs some PS5 details
Fair stuff shown. Bulletstorm VR will be interesting. I mean I can even imagine Vanquish, Max Payne or Resident Evil 6 or Red Steel 2 VR. Oh the sickness or oh the cool factor of such moves.
Some have made it clear though of VR limits and movement though like Windlands.
LN3, Grandblue Fantasy Relink and more with dates or appearances was nice.
This seems pretty decent. I haven't seen the showcase itself but I will definitely take a look at some of these games and trailers. And I pretty excited we finally have release date for Tekken 8
Maybe Iām just getting old, but the amount of killing in the majority of the games on display made everything blur together to the point where I was unsure what I was looking at. It felt like a nice breather whenever a racing game or platformer showed up š
@Excess I feel the same way. Last night I was scrolling through the PS store hoping to find a slow paced tactical shooter like Desert Storm or the Operation Flashpoint series but it's all a big sci-fi blur of pretty colours and gore (which I don't mind in small doses, but I prefer taking my time and thinking about who to shoot and when)
@Excess yeah, I know what you mean. That's why Sackboy and Astrobots are the two games I come back to time and again. Why not a Astrobots 2? Shooting wise I much prefer the slower speed of Sniper Contracts (the first one)...no rushing round, and time to plan your attack. But that's just me...
The news of Expeditions was unexpected and a surprise, as Little Nightmares 3, and a date for Granblue, so a positive presentation for me.
