The newly released Sony portable sold just 15k units, while the Nintendo 3DS managed a whopping 80k. It was a disappointing week for all non-3DS hardware though, with the PSP and PS3 both managing just 21k and 17k respectively — knocking the PS Vita down into fourth.
A lack of new software releases, and continued New Year blues, stopped anything spectacular from happening on the software charts too — with Nintendo's unstoppable 3DS trio joined by the newly released Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure. Heroes Phantasia on the PSP was the top-selling PlayStation title for the week, finishing up in sixth.
