How? How? How? How? How? How? HOW DO YOU LET THIS HAPPEN!?

Officially, it's only the second time the game has been pushed back — but the fact remains that Sony's premier racer has been in development for what seems like an eternity; something which has led to throngs of bad publicity and negative reaction from the press. So how can Sony possibly allow another delay this close to release, when goodwill and anticipation is actually on the up?

We're dumbfounded. We love PlayStation and we love Sony but we're struggling to see a positive in this saga. Gran Turismo 5 may well be the most feature complete racing game ever made  - but it's not going to matter one iota. In most people's eyes the game will never live up to the ridiculous development time. That's bad for the franchise and bad for the release of the "supposed" most important game in the PlayStation 3's catalogue.

But delayed it's been. Delayed in Europe. Delayed in America. Delayed in Japan. According to all three arms of SCE, the game will still launch before Christmas. But this really is a complete and utter PR disaster.

Whatever the problem is, it better be a big deal. They should have the whole of SCEJ working on the game, they should have their pressing factories spitting out as many discs as possible, and they should have every marketing and PR department assigned to GT as a priority. There should not be any hiccups.

Again, let's reiterate: this is the most important PlayStation 3 release to date. Watch as the media turns to apathy. We're struggling not to ourselves.

How could Sony possibly let this happen?
