Re: Sony's Sending Out Yet Another Wave of PS5 Emails

I'm so over it right now. I have $2000 saved for the PS5, extra controller, two headsets, a camera, and a copy of (almost) every launch game. Still no word on price, preorders, launch titles. Nvidia just released the RTX 3000 series cards. As soon as they go live I'm ordering the $1400 RTX 3090. This will be the first PS console I don't pick up at launch. Maybe next year, maybe not, especially if PS Now starts offering the ability to play PS5 games on PC I'll just end up subscribing to that instead of getting the system.

Re: Chinese Action Game Black Myth: Wu Kong Is Attracting a Lot of Attention

Regardless of who develops a game, I'm sure this money isn't going to the Chinese government as much as any money we spend indirectly goes to the US government in various taxes. If you have a smartphone them you have helped the Chinese economy. Last I heard, PlayStations are also made in China which brings work therefore enriches the Chinese economy. You'll have to try pretty hard to not support their economy in any way. This game however I'm sure is paying more for the developers work than anything else. What if buying this game helps them to leave China? Not all Chinese are communist but they're forced to obey their government or else. Some people are acting like buying this game, if it even comes out for PlayStation, is going to boost their economy in any significant way. It isn't. What may happen is if it gets more attention, the Chinese government may step in and censor it, restrict it, or disband the company and arrest the devs if there's anything their government finds remotely offensive or sensitive.

I for one want this game. For an alpha build it looks really polished like a game that is set for release some time this year. Hopefully PlayStation can sponsor them to finish the game or make it exclusive which would be even better and further separate what value PlayStation brings compared to Xbox. While I'm not a fan of Tencent, they have their hands dipped into many aspects of gaming including Epic, League of Legends, Fortnite, Call of Duty, and a lot more. Let the government's fight over supporting an economy. Just play games and stop being political about it. Makes the gaming community toxic.
