Good game, but it can crash pretty hard after long play, it's locked my PS5, and I've had to unplug to restart, and we all know PS5s don't like being turned off like that.
I can afford to buy a PS6 at $1000, but the real question is will it be worth it?
Only early adopters who can afford it will buy into this, casuals, families, parents won't. This means the player base will stay dominant on PS5 and the PS6 will struggle to get people to upgrade. This means games will be developed for PS5 for a long time, and upscaled for the PS6. Sony won't be able to release a system seller game, as the majority of players will still be on PS5 (we saw this with PS4 to PS5 adoption rates and software in the early days, and that was at a much lower price point. PS6 has a tougher hill to climb here!)
So I can see an era where the PS5 is the base model, the PS5 Pro is the medium model and the PS6 is just a Ultra model for the elite gamers who can afford it. The PS6 will not be able to attract enough players across to take over. So this is only worth it for people who care about the ultra graphics output and 160fps, and PSSR. Since games will still release on PS5 however, since that's where the players will be, those fancy options won't change how games are made, as they will still need to run on the lowest level of hardware.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'll just stick with my PS5 until it dies and wonder if it's even worth buying a PS6 by then, since Sony have forgot how to even release games anyway I'm not sure I will bother. I fear there is potential for the PS6 to flop here and I'm not risking $1000 on a system that can't build a healthy playerbase. (PS3 struggled at a higher price point, and this is leagues more expen than the PS3 was)
I've owned every PlayStation ever in my life, but the PS5 may just be my last.
As a fan of the original game and a fan of the remakes, who's genuinely enjoyed both, this is a bold claim. The remakes have been awesome in my opinion, but they have been nothing but divisive among the fanbase. Glad he's being bold though and I can't wait for part 3
Sony ***** up making failed live service games they've now not enough games to even advertise so they're advertising shovelware 😂 what a gash gaming generation this has been
