The reason why they are saying it "might" have some issues is the fact of device drivers.
The PS4 uses the AMD Jaguar CPU whereas the PS5 will be using the Zen2 CPU. Graphics are still AMD based but that's like comparing an R9 Fury to a RX 5700XT. Just because it worked then doesn't m an a newer driver in the system will be bug free. Games may still need patches to work correctly with the updated hardware. It is still x86_64 based, but as stated a driver update such as Vulkan or Mesa which are both used by the FreeBSD based OS, could have some changes that may not bode well.
