@djlard Basically the writer behind Harry Potter came out as a pretty HUGE transphobe. Saying trans women can never be women, that trans people in women's bathrooms and spaces is inherently dangerous, actively lobbying against pro-trans bills, claims gender dysphoria is contagious, etc. Basically every anti-trans statement you can make, she's made it.
@Sakisa Well, if it is just about supporting Rowling, then you could do what I am planning on doing and buying a used copy. Your money is going to someone else, not the devs or to any royalty fees Rowling might be collecting.
If its about playing anything with her name tied to it in anyway, that is fair and understand that position
@RudeAnimat0r Honestly, it does look great and has rave reviews from some friends (who somehow did not know about the stuff with Rowling until I said something). If I really lean heavily on not supporting Rowling, I may just buy the game used. As it is, I have a huge steam library backlog I need to go through anyway.
